1. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

• Contact and account information: your name (if provided) and email address.
• Career materials you submit for the diagnostic: your resume, LinkedIn information, current or most recent job title, target role, and optionally up to three job descriptions.
• Communications: messages you send us, including refund requests and support emails.

Information collected automatically:

• Payment information is processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical data: device and browser type, IP address, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the site.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Generate and deliver your personalized Career Relevance Score and any Progress Rechecks you request.
• Operate your private account, including sign-in and report delivery.
• Process payments and respond to refund requests.
• Communicate with you about your purchase and your reports.
• Improve the product and fix technical issues.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your resume, career history, or job descriptions for advertising, and we do not share them with third parties for marketing.

3. AI processing

Your submitted career materials are analyzed with the help of artificial intelligence to produce your diagnostic. Your materials may be processed by our AI service providers solely to generate your report. We do not publish, display, or share your individual materials publicly, and the shareable scorecard we offer excludes your name, resume content, employment history, and job descriptions.

4. Sharing with service providers

We share information only as needed to run the business:

• Payment processing — our payment provider, to complete your purchase.
• Hosting and infrastructure — the platforms that host the site and store your account data (including MadeThis.com and its backend services).
• AI analysis — AI service providers used to generate your diagnostic.
• Legal compliance — if required by law or to protect our rights.

These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide their services to us.

5. Data retention

We keep your account information and submitted career materials for as long as needed to deliver your reports, including Progress Rechecks (your free same-role recheck is available for 30 days after your baseline). After that, we retain records only as required for legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You may request at any time that we:

• Provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your personal information and career materials.

8. Refunds and your data

If you request a refund within the 7-day refund review window described in our Refund Policy and it is granted, we will delete your submitted career materials on request as part of closing your account.

9. Children

MarketSignal is intended for adults in professional careers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
